Non-diet Approach to Weight Management

If you are tired of dieting and depriving yourself of the foods you love, sick of binge-eating and waking up the next day with a food and shame hangover, or simply want to eat "normally" then maybe it is time to try a new approach.  I offer individual counseling and weekly support groups that address compulsive eating and the obsession that keeps you from your true self.  During the course of treatment, we will address the issues that contribute to your food and weight issues, some of which include:
  • Exploring your own unique relationship to food and your body
  • Building a foundation of compassion, self-awareness and self-esteem
  • Examining the dangers of dieting and develop intuitive eating skills
  • Exploring underlying feelings related to overeating, undereating and body shame
  • Learning to identify, understand and change obsessive thinking about food and weight
  • Developing alternative ways to nurture yourself emotionally and spiritually
  • Creating a more positive and respectful relationship to you body
